The number of tests conducted in the last 24 hours has been announced as 61,716.   According to the figures announced till today, 5,387,751 COVID-19 tests have been conducted in Turkey so far. While the total number of cases is 243,180, the death toll has reached 5,873.   While 617 patients are reportedly in critical condition, the rate of COVID-19 patients with pneumonia has been announced as 8.2 percent. The total number of recovered patients is 226,155.   Citing the Ministry data, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca has also said on Twitter, "In the last three days, the number of inpatients has dropped by 32 percent. However, the increase in the number of patients in critical condition, which is one of the most important indicators of the process, is still ongoing. Our five provinces with the highest number of patients in the last three days: İstanbul, Ankara, Konya, Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa."   Since originating in China last December, COVID-19 has claimed over 737,500 lives in 188 countries and regions. Nearly 20.13 million cases have been reported worldwide while over 12.38 million patients have recovered so far, according to figures compiled by Johns Hopkins University.
