Speaking Kurdish banned in a mall in the Kurdish populated city Cizde 2020-08-06 15:03:31 ŞIRNAK -  Business owners in the newly opened shopping center in Cizre banned store employees from speaking Kurdish. In the past months, in the Cizre district of Şırnak, where the trustee had removed Kurdish from the signs of historical places, many cafes employees were prohibited from speaking Kurdish with customers. This time, the staff of Cizre Park Shopping Center (AVM), which was opened in the district before the Eid al-Adha, was prohibited from speaking Kurdish. Employees said business owners forbid talking to customers in Kurdish.   It was stated that the shop owners told the employees that they are watching the shop from the surveillence cameras, banned the employees speaking Kurdish.   'WE MAY LOSE OUR JOBS'   It was learned that a customer asked the employees why they didn't speak Kurdish even though they understand and answer them in Turkish, the shop employee told that they might lose their jobs if they speak Kurdish.
