Buldan: The operation against DTK shows the point hostility towards the Kurds reached 2020-06-30 15:21:12   ANKARA - Stating that DTK is a democratic, social and a legitimate platform, HDP Co-Chair Pervin Buldan said: "The operation against DTK shows the the point hostility towards the Kurds reached. The operation aims to liquidate the democratic organization of the Kurds."   Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Pervin Buldan spoke at her party's group meeting.    Buldan said: "They are storming the DTK buildings and arresting people to prevent them from organizing, coming together, speaking about their own problems in their own language. They are implementing a plan to demolish democracy from Hakkari to Edirne, from İzmir to Diyarbakır. As you know, they carried out an operastion against DTK last saturday. DTK is a democratic social and legitimate platform. It is a congress of the people and the congress is the people. DTK  is an institution that was officially invited to conferences by the President of this parliament in the past. The institution that stormed, breakind down doors, is an institution that struggles for peace, solution and democracy in this country. While this is the case, the operation against DTK shows the the point hostility towards the Kurds reached. The operation aims to liquidate the democratic organization of the Kurds.   Let's say you eliminated the entire democratic organization of the Kurds. So, what do you plan to do with the Kurdish people? You will eliminate those as well? Will you be able to lock millions away? There are millions of Kurds in this country and all around the world and you can lock all of them away. What possessed you to shut down all democratic channels all political paths to the Kurds? Those operations will never prevent neither the work for the congress nor the organized struggle of women. It will further strengthen our people and our organized institutions.  We and our people will never give up democracy and democratic struggle. The peoples of Turkey will never give up their joint struggle for democracy and  their stance in solidarity. You can break down doors by force but you can never break the will of the people."
